Welcome to Mission Beach Hideaway

Mission Beach Hideaway sits in the heart of the village. Walk across the road to the beach, or next door to the Tavern, restaurants, cafés and fashion stores. Park your car and forget it as everything is right here. The beautiful Barrier reef is straight out from us and a remnant World Heritage rainforest literally touches the back of the park.

Our public EV charging station got a workout today when Mission Beach local Rob dropped in with his brand-new Deepal — and what an impressive-looking motor car it is!

A quick charge was in order, and before long Rob was fully charged and back on the road, enjoying beautiful Tropical Far North Queensland!

Wow, what a fantastic roll-up for the October long weekend! 🌴☀️ Spring in tropical Far North Queensland is a beautiful time of year, and it’s wonderful to see so many families joining us from Cairns, Townsville and out west, enjoying time together with their dogs, relaxing around the park and making the most of the Clubhouse, with the kids playing pool and table tennis and everyone catching the weekend sport on the big screen. We’ve even got some wonderful classic motoring amongst our guests this weekend, including a beautiful 1958 FC Holden and a classic Volkswagen Kombi adding a little extra character around the park. We had a fabulous stay at Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Our cabin was beautiful, spotlessly clean, modern and extremely comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out, though, were the people - everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful and genuinely couldn’t have been nicer. We were in Mission Beach catching up with family, and the park was the perfect base for our visit. Mission Beach itself is such a beautiful part of the world and absolutely a must-see if you’re travelling through Far North Queensland. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

Is Mission Beach Hideaway pet friendly?

Yes. Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village is pet friendly, and there is no pet fee. Pets welcome on application, including in cabins and on caravan and camping sites. How much does a night cost?

Cabins at Mission Beach Hideaway start from $120 a night (Standard Cabin), and the Premium Deluxe Villa 2-Bedroom is priced on enquiry. Powered sites are from $55 a night and unpowered sites from $45 a night in low season. Site prices are for 2 people, and extra person charges apply per night. Holiday periods such as Easter may carry a cabin minimum stay and surcharge. Check availability.

Are there powered caravan sites, and what amps?

Yes. Mission Beach Hideaway has powered caravan sites with 15 amp power, concrete slabs and TV connection, and some drive-through sites are available. Powered sites cost from $55 a night in low season. Prices are for 2 people, and extra person charges apply per night. When you book, tell us the internal length of your caravan so we can allocate the right site. Details are on our sites page.

Which cabin sleeps 6?

The Rainforest Bungalow sleeps 6. It is the largest cabin at Mission Beach Hideaway, with three sleeping zones (a queen bed and singles), a private ensuite, a full kitchen and a covered outdoor area, from $215 a night. For two separate bedrooms, the Premium Deluxe Villa 2-Bedroom sleeps 4. See the Rainforest Bungalow page.

Can I walk to restaurants, the tavern and shops?

Yes. Mission Beach Hideaway is in the village centre and the tavern is next door. Restaurants and cafes are about a five-minute walk, and the bakery, supermarket and fish and chip shop are also within walking distance. Park the car when you arrive and walk. How far is Mission Beach from Cairns, Cairns Airport and Townsville?

Mission Beach Hideaway is about 140 km south of Cairns, around 2 hours by road on the Bruce Highway. Cairns Airport, the nearest major airport, is about 145 km away. Townsville is about 240 km south, around 2 hours by road. Most guests drive or hire a car at the airport. More on our Explore Mission Beach page.
